The Game
The classes
Six fighters and two kings. Each fighter starts with a melee weapon and a signature ranged or magic weapon.
| Class | Melee | Signature weapon |
|---|---|---|
| Archer | Spear | Bow |
| Druid | Scimitar | Staff |
| Heretic | Hammer | Claw Rod |
| Paladin | Longsword | Crossbow |
| Sorceress | Dagger | Wand |
| Warrior | Berserker Axe | Throwing Axes |
| Good King / Evil King | No weapons. Protect them (or hunt them). |
The loadout
Every fighter has four weapon slots:
- Advanced: an upgrade bought or found mid-match: a better bow, a stronger staff, a wand that hits harder.
- Basic: your class’s starting ranged or magic weapon.
- Melee: always with you.
- Utility: scrolls and single-use items: haste, teleport, and a few surprises.
Upgrades come from the buy menu.
The weapons
43 weapons, each with its own feel, taken from the original game’s data:
- Crossbows that fire a spread of three bolts.
- Throwing axes and hammers that tumble through the air and bounce off walls.
- Staves that launch fireballs or leave lingering poison clouds.
- Wands that fire instant beams. One knocks enemies across the room.
- Mines, grenades and scrolls for the creative.
Projectiles leave scorch marks that match what they hit (stone, wood, metal, dirt), and explosions hurt anyone nearby, sometimes you.
